Let's Just Fall In Love Again

Disreguard the cover... it kind of test my control. I don't know whether to laugh or toss my cookies. I did neither, such control!

But that aside, the song is SO CUTE! I can hardly wait to find the guy of my dreams, fall in love and them explain to him how we are going to just fall in love again!

Lets pretend baby
That you've just met me
And Ive never seen you before
Ill tell all my friends
That I think you're staring
And you say the same to yours

And oh, well dance around it all night
And then Ill follow you outside
And try to open up my mouth
And nothing comes out right

And I wanna fall in love with you again
I don't have to try
Its so easy
Who needs to pretend?
But because its so funny
Lets just think about it, honey
Lets just fall in love again

Ill call you in three days
Not too soon, not too late
And Ill ask your roommate if you're home
You call me on Thursday
And well hang out all day
Then fall asleep on the phone

And oh, Ill hold your hand when we drive
And well lose track of all the time
And well tell everyone
That we ain't never felt so alive

And I wanna fall in love with you again
I don't have to try
Its so easy
Who needs to pretend?
But because its so funny
Lets just think about it, honey
Lets just fall in love again

Well fall disgustingly fast
And well stop hanging out with friends
And they'll be so offended

And I wanna fall in love with you again
I don't have to try
Its so easy
Who needs to pretend?
But because its so funny
Lets just think about it, honey
Lets just fall in love again
Lets just fall in love again

9 Crimes

Gotta love Damien, but even more so when he does a duet with Lisa Hannigan and her amazing voice! It is soulful, and hurt, and painfully good.

Lisa Hannigan - I Don't Know

I just like it. It's simple, and great.

Regina Spektor - Far

Favorite Songs
#2 Eet
#3 One More Time with Feeling

So her new CD just came out, classic Regina, weird, quirky, and I have no idea how she comes up with her lyrics, but I like it even if I can't understand it.

Koop Island Blues

Ok if you follow So You Think You Can Dance at all this will be familiar to you, but such a great song! Great Jazz if I've ever heard some... and I have!!

Ron Pope - You're the Reason I Come Home

You're the Reason I Come Home
I don't have a reason, but after listening to this song I sure wish I did... or I wish I was his reason, either way. Amazing voice, amazing lyrics, amazing love song! He's got some other great stuff too. But this one's definitely my favorite!

Rosi Golan

LOVE HER! You are definitely going to want to own her whole CD! They are all my favorite! You'll forget that you ever needed a skip button!

Um... Yeah.... She's Amazing... her voice will knock your socks off! Extremely soulful lyrics. Every time someone asks me for a good song to do a lyrical dance to she's who I start with. When a long day is over and you just want to breathe deeply she's who I put on.

It's not my fault if she makes you cry.

The Rescues - Stay Over

Great little single.... extremely catchy! It makes me want to clap along.

Priscilla Ahn - A Good Day

Favorite Songs:

Best lyrics I've heard in a while... from her song Astronaut
The fish in the sea
have many things to tell me
well what could they be
I'll never know, I had to go
Because I don't associate with fish!

She has a very simple style, beautiful control to her voice, it is really easy to listen to. I ended up getting her whole CD, and I agree with the album name, it was a good day!

Above the Golden State - I'll Love You So

I have no idea what this CD cover is about... but I'll Love You So is a great little song!

Amos Lee - Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight

Love Amos... Love this song.

There is so much more to love than black and white,
Keep it loose child, gotta keep it tight.

Catherine Feeny

#1 Always Tonight

I found her the other day quickly downloaded a couple of the ones that stood out to me, there might be more there, but I didn't have the time to really dive through her stuff. So far so good though. Awesome voice!

I put the itunes links to her music in the title of the songs.

Patrick Park - Life is A Song

Great little song. It kind of reminds me a little of Mason Jennings.
Maybe it REALLY is time to

let go of everything we used to know
Ideas that strengthen who we've been
It's time to cut ties that won't ever free our minds
From chains and shackles that they're in

Ash Koley - Don't Let Your Feet Touch Ground

Loved it from the first moment I heard it! It was actually on one of the picture montages on So You Think You Can Dance.... I came home and searched EVERYWHERE for it with no luck. After days of reading posts of people trying to figure out who it was by someone finally tracked her down to Canada. The song itself was scheduled to release at the end of June but I guess with all the hype she released it early! Yeah!

Parachute

Favorite Songs:
#1 Blame it On Me
#2 Words Meet Heartbeats
#3 She is Love

Need a song to blast in your car and to get on-coming traffic to notice your new dance moves... don't worry Blame it On Me will make your whole day!

"You can say what you want,
but it's only getting better
It's alright, oh baby, it's alright
You can try to deny,
but it's only getting better
It's alright, oh baby, it's alright now"

Words Meet Heartbeats is the same way. I play them consecutively! She is Love (acoustic version) is much more chill. I ended up getting this whole CD, which in my opinion is brilliant, but if you need a place to start Blame it on Me!

Elizabeth & the Catapult

Favorite Songs:
#1. Race You
#2. Momma's Boy
#3 Perfectly Perfect
#4 Complimentary Me

I love Elizabeth & the Catapult! They are way fun! I found them a couple weeks ago and after listening to Race You too many times to count,  I decided that they were worth investing a little more in. I followed it up with Momma's Boy and finally purchased the whole CD and haven't looked back since. They have a new-old sound. If that makes sense. A little jazzy, a little funky, way original. She's got a great set of pipes and firey lyrics!

Oh and good news they will be here in Salt Lake On Wednesday July 29th @8:00 pm with Greg Laswell (who I am just now looking into) If you are interested in going let me know.
